What is Scholars Circle?

​

Scholars Circle represents donors who are philanthropically committed to supporting strong TK-8th grade public education in Burlingame. Our Scholars Circle lead donors give significantly to BCE so that they can make a larger impact on the Burlingame community.  This helps ensure that every student receives a rich and inspiring public school education.

 

Why should I be a Scholars Circle donor?

BCE realizes that philanthropy is a personal decision and acknowledges that all donations are important. Scholars Circle recognizes those individuals, businesses, and organizations that contribute at the $3,500 level and above. BCE relies on leadership-level donations to reach funding goals, thereby supporting our overall mission.

Scholars Circle donors are invited to attend special events throughout the school year. These events provide opportunities to engage in thoughtful discussions with fellow Scholars Circle donors and to learn about important BSD issues from district leadership.

 

Scholars Circle donor levels

Scholars Circle donors are recognized in the BCE Annual Report at the following donor levels:
Patron: $50,000+

Innovator: $25,000 - $49,999
Trustee: $15,000 – $24,999
Superintendent: $10,000 – $14,999
Assistant Superintendent: $7,500 – $9,999
Principal: $5,000 – $7,499
Scholar: $3,500 – $4,999

All Scholars Circle donors are invited to the Scholars Circle Reception, an evening cocktail party in recognition of their support of our mission. Scholars Circle donors also receive a special newsletter, The Scoop, and have access to early pre-sale tickets to our annual Fundraising Gala.
